Contrast-enhanced US of the Liver and Kidney: A Problem-solving Modality

The goal of the Radiology articles designated for self-assessment CME and their accompanying tests is to increase understanding of the radiologic characteristics of a variety of pathologic conditions and basic physics principles.

Learning Objectives:

  • Specify the advantages of contrast-enhanced US (CEUS) over contrast-enhanced CT or MRI related to its superior contrast and temporal resolution.
  • Describe the advantages of CEUS over contrast-enhanced CT or MRI to improve diagnosis of indeterminate liver masses.
  • Identify which solid renal masses, indeterminate on contrast-enhanced CT or MRI, can be correctly diagnosed with CEUS.

 

This journal-based CME activity is estimated to take 1 hour to complete.
