Essentials for Interpreting Intracranial Vessel Wall MRI Results: State of the Art

The goal of the Radiology articles designated for self-assessment CME and their accompanying tests is to increase understanding of the radiologic characteristics of a variety of pathologic conditions and basic physics principles.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a vessel wall (VW) MRI protocol that can identify intracranial vasculopathies and distinguish pathologic wall features from artifacts
  • Identify reasons for flow artifacts and describe techniques to confirm lumen patency
  • Specify reasons for VW enhancement and its mimics and define techniques for distinguishing them

 

This journal-based CME activity is estimated to take 1 hour to complete.
